Cannondale RT 1000 Road Tandem 21” x 19”

Totally Refurbished and Customised £3,000

Tandem was completely stripped down, all “weld on” cable guides, stops shaved off and joints smoothed for a clean look. Cantilever spigots were modified to accept reflectors, but with the ability to revert back to cantilever brakes.

Original raked forks replaced with new Tandem Fatty forks to enable front and rear disk brakes. Low rider bosses for front carrier, bosses for rear carrier (both carriers included)

Frame was soda blasted, etch primer and 2 pack primer applied, this was followed by a rich red base coat (Range Rover Camargue Red) and a very high quality clear coat. No large transfers on the frame, just a Cannondale head badge and top of seat stay C transfer along with “Made in USA” decal on the inside of the front seat tube to pay homage to Cannondale.

Equipment and Running Gear:-

Carbon Aero front drop bars 42cm, Carbon Bull horns 42cm on rear, both wrapped with Fizk performance tape with gel underneath

Hope seat clamps, Hope Headset and stem, Garmin Edge 520 computer included, this is really handy as it shows what gears you are in.

Custom Titanium stoker stem to match the large tubing, 5 x carbon bottle cages.

Gears are Sram Red wireless E Tap which are a dream to change gear, rear cassette is 11 speed 11 - 42 which was big enough to get us to the top of Ventoux last year. There are a couple of “Blips” under the flats of the front bars, you only have to move a finger to change gear. (Charger, cables and accessories included)

Hope bottom brackets, Gebherdt custom 46 / 30 T Chainset, Gates carbon belt 69t

Hand built 700C x 36 hole H+Son SL42 rims laced with stainless steel spokes to Hope hubs, these alloy rims are about as deep as you can get.

700 x 28 Continental 4000 tyre on the front, 700 x 32 Gaitorskin on the rear.

TRP Spyre disc brakes with 203mm rotors, compressionless cable housing with excellent stopping power

Also included is a Tandem roof rack, suitable for Thule T bars, Shimano SPD pedals front and rear, small pump and CO2 cartridges attached to down tube - saddles not included

This is a top notch tandem, assembled by Pete & Rob at the Tandem shop.
