The Dartmoor Way Cycle Route is a 90 mile-long circular route which winds its way around the natural beauty of Dartmoor National Park, linking hamlets, villages and towns along its length.

This recreational route takes cyclists through the varying landscape surrounding the High Moor, visitingattractive and interesting locations which offer a wide choice of places to eat, drink and stay for the night. The well-signed Dartmoor Way Cycle Route follows quiet Devon lanes and minor roads,and uses traffic-free cycle tracks wherever possible.

See Part 1 Dartmoor Way Okehampton to Lydford From Okehampton Station (and excellent Bullied Buffet). 2: Dartmoor Way Cycle Route Section 2 Lydford - Tavistock (E)

See Part 2 - Dartmoor Way Lydford to Tavistock From the Castle Inn continue downhill to cross the River Lyd and ascend past the upper entrance to Lydford Gorge (National Trust). Pass under the old railway line, and climb steadily past the lower entrance to the Gorge. Now in the hands of the National Trust, Lydford Gorge is worth a visit. 4: Dartmoor Way Cycle Route Section 4 Cadover Bridge - Ivybridge (E)

Part 4 - Cadover Bridge to Ivybridge Cross Cadover Bridge and follow the road ahead, gently uphill. Side-trip to Shaugh Prior and the Dewerstone Take the first turn right, to Shaugh Prior; pass the church and continue through the village to reach Shaugh Bridge. 5: Dartmoor Way Cycle Route Section 5 Ivybridge - Buckfastleigh (E)

Part 5 Ivybridge to Buckfastleigh The route starts at Stowford Bridge on the north side of Ivybridge, where Harford Road arrives from the north to cross the Exeter-Plymouth railway line to reach a T-junction. Part 6 - Buckfastleigh to Ashburton At the mini-roundabout at Dart Bridge (High Moor Link joins from the left) bear right to cross the River Dart and turn immediately left, signed Ashburton/Princetown. Part 8 Bovey Tracey to Mortenhampstead Turn left and follow the surfaced cycle path through Mill Marsh Park alongside the River Bovey.
