For Sale: Thorn Discovery extra-stiff Touring Tandem Large/Medium

Thorn Discovery tandem. Size wise - it is a Large/Medium (I am 6'5" and my wife is 5'6"). I must be near the top of the recommended height range, and it's quite an upright position for me. A wide height range on the back can be accommodated - the kids rode with kiddy cranks when they were quite small. It's 12 years old, and was the top of the range model. In particular it has the extra frame tube,so there's none of the usual tandem side-to-side frame flex that I find a bit disconcerting. We have done a bit of touring with a kiddy seat on the rear carrier, and a trailer, and it handled nicely. It's got the S&S stainless steel couplings, so that it can be split for travel in planes etc, and a rear drag brake.
