Ecosmo Tyres?

2021-04-18 21:09:17

We recently purchased an Ecosmo Tandem Bike. I wonder if other users have stayed with the original tyres or for any reason replaced them?

The spec on Ecosmobike's website states that the bike comes with Kenda 20 X 1.75" tyres. However, mine came with some unknown (to me) very shiny 20 X 1.95" Chinese tyres.

I do have a pair of brand new 20 X 1.75" Schwalbe Marathon Pro plus ("Punctures are just a memory" LOL) and wondered if I should fit them before going places?

There is no doubt that Marathon tyres are very good but "Cheap" tyres can sometimes have a very short life. If you are not convinced of the quality of your Chinese tyres then put the Marathons on.

Before I inflated them Chris, I felt them all over and they seemed rather thin! They are Chao Yang Tyres made by the Hang Zhgou Rubber Factory in China. The factory started in 1958 and they claim to be the 10th largest Tyre factory in the world! Perhaps they are good after all? LOL
