Meet at Yew tree Garden Centre at 0945 for pre ride refreshments. The Garden centre opens at 9am. We will aim to leave at 1015 to start the ride. The address for Yew Tree Garden centre is: Hatt Common, East Woodhay, Newbury RG20 0NG. Please park in the gravel area car park which is to the right of the entrance driveway. | Derby/Sheffield | First ride 20 miles . Start: Rowsley nr Matlock at 1000. 20 miles, A. 10am start from the Rowsley Car Park, Old Station Close, Rowsley, Matlock, DE4 2EL. NB There is a height barrier at this free car park, but bikes can be unloaded from the roof outside and then get under the barrier. About 20 miles on minor roads with great views. Quite hilly but should be easily managed if you have electric assist. And the final five miles are an easy flat ride alongside the Peak railway. Refreshment at Winster en route. This is an easy ride from Tim's Cafe at Thorpe Arch Trading Estate, Avenue D, Thorpe Arch, LS23 7FE to Doylys Cafe, Bolton Percy. A mostly flat circular route on a mix of cycle path, quiet country roads with only a short stretch on a busier route, total 20 miles (unless we decide to add a bit on!) Meet at 10:30 for an 11 o'clock start with lunch at Doylys and a further stop in Tadcaster on the return leg if anyone wants to. | Wessex | Romsey-Stockbridge circuit. Start: Green Acre, Halterworth Lane, Romsey SO51 9AD at 10:00. 34 miles, A. This was the ride which had to be cancelled in 2025 due to excess heat! David writes: The route contains bits of which we've ridden with the TC before but hopefully still a different and varied route for most. 10am start from Green Acre, Halterworth Lane, Romsey SO51 9AD; coffee at the Wellow fishery after 16km and then via small lanes to Stockbridge for lunch (at about 37km, bring sandwiches) and then a loop back home for a total of 54km. There are obvious ways to shorten or lengthen the route as required. My planner says 500m of ascent and descent, most of that clustered around 4 locations on the route, two before the coffee stop and then one before and after lunch. The majority of the distance is reasonably easy going. I expect Alison will provide some nibbles at home when we get back, for those who are able to hang around.
